We have a strong technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) capability with outstanding experience in TMT advice, gained locally and internationally. 

We have advised on licensing and regulatory issues, drafting and negotiation of technical and specialist industry agreements and have handled several M&A projects in the TMT sector.

We have experience in preparing, reviewing, advising and negotiating a broad range of IT arrangements from advice on software licensing through to complex systems implementation projects. We advise IT users and providers of IT services.

We have advised on several media projects including on television and film rights, broadcasting content and licensing requirements.

Our telecommunications lawyers have been recognized internationally as leaders in their respective fields and provide advice on commercial, regulatory (including competition) and dispute resolution matters for a range of communications companies, including fixed and mobile network operators, fibre-optic cable system operators, service providers and suppliers to the industry.

Recent Transactions

  • Advised Safaricom Limited and Seven Seas Technologies Limited in drafting and negotiating a co-operation agreement between them for collaboration by the parties in the research and development of innovative technology products, with the prospect of commercialising such products for the mutual exploitation and benefit of such parties and their customers.
